David Waddell’s [Waddell & Associates] regular column in the Memphis Daily News discussed the stock market and asked the question, “How high can we go?” His column was also featured in the Nashville Ledger.

David Waddell was also recently mentioned in a Barron’s article titled, “Tiny funds, big prospects.” David was quoted saying he’s not only willing to give small funds a closer look, but also goes looking for them.

Congratulations to Smartvue [Martin Renkis] whose cloud video surveillance won iBusiness Magazine’s Top 25 Enterprise Business Application award.

The Nashville Ledger featured a story on how 3-D ‘printing’ offers a new dimension in product visualization and cites NovaCopy [Darren Metz] as a company on the forefront of the revolution.

DSi [Tom Turner] was featured in the Nashville Ledger twice this week. One story detailed the new trend in the market called e-discovery or data mining. The second warned readers to be careful of what they type and view on company computer.

Bernard Health was also mentioned in Catalyst Healthcare Research as one of few consumer-facing businesses in the health insurance industry.

Here’s a roundup of the most recent EO Nashville sightings in the news.

On June 22, the Nashville Post covered DSi’s [Tom Turner] move into Charlotte, North Carolina. DSi also has outposts in Knoxville and Cincinnati.

Fast Company ran an article about Nashville’s quest to fill its open technology positions. The article included a quote by Nicholas Holland about ways that tech companies can attract more talent.

On July 12, the Nashville Post covered Michael Brody-Waite and InQuicker‘s growth. The health care tech company is now working with 135 hospitals around the country.

In other exciting news, Jolene Dressel [Trojan Labor] started a new company, Trojan Environmental. Trojan Environmental is an asbestos abatement staffing company. Jolene has put over 70 employees through a 32-hour asbestos abatement course to get this business off the ground. She is currently supplying several customers with temporary asbestos abatement workers in jobs located in Tennessee, Kentucky and Georgia.

This week in the news, JT Terrell (Music City Tents and Events) was featured in a full-page Executive Profile in the January 6 edition of the Nashville Business Journal. In the Q&A piece, JT answered questions on his company’s expansion plans for 2012, his life as a touring drummer and how his wedding day boosted business.

EO member John Rowley (Fletcher/Rowley) has been busy talking presidential politics over the last couple weeks, with appearances on CNN, Maddow and FOX.

And finally, Michael Burcham announced this week that Joe Galante, former chairman of Sony Music Nashville, has joined the Entrepreneur Center as an entrepreneur-in-residence to help advise startups in the digital media and entertainment space.
