Crosslin & Associates [Justin Crosslin] gave the Nashville Business Journal a tour of its new office in Green Hills.

J.J. Rosen [Atiba] focused his Tennessean column on a new wave of customer service apps that really work.

The Tennessean wrote an article on the selection of Bell & Associates Construction [Darek Bell] as builder for the new Nashville Sounds ballpark.

Darek’s Corsair Distillery was the big name at the 2014 Wizards of Whisky awards, winning American Craft Distiller of the Year as well as a number of other honors. The full award count for the distillery included American Whisky of the Year, American Other Grain of the Year and Gold Medals for Corsair Nashville Bourbon and Corsair Quinoa. The Tennessean penned an article on the big win.

Julie May [bytes of knowledge] wrote a column for Young Upstarts about how to prevent your technology project from being poorly managed, She also wrote about the future of virtual technology in her Tennessean column.

Jeff Turner [Turner Machine Co] penned an article on the recruitment and retention of manufacturing employees for IMPO Magazine.

Hart Weatherford has sold his company, Farmington Financial Group, to CapStar Bank, and will transition to Capstar’s mortgage group as executive vice president. The Nashville Post reported on the sale.

The Tennessean featured Clint Smith [Emma] in its Business Section cover story about the benefits of companies offering sabbaticals to its employees.

Charlie Brock [Launch Tennessee] provided a preview of the 2014 Southland Conference in the Tennessean.

The Tennessean‘s Builder Spotlight featured an interview with Ricky Scott and Robbie Edwards of The Kingston Group.

Alex Tolbert [Bernard Health] wrote his Tennessean column on the lack of equality in socialized health care.

Pearl Drums commissioned Brand Imaging Group [Scott Snoyer] to create a customized NFL wrap for a drum set for the Red Hot Chili Peppers Super Bowl Halftime Show Appearance. The Nashville Business Journal covered the story.

David Waddell’s [Waddell & Associates] most recent columns for The Memphis Daily News include an August 28 piece on the rising federal funds rate, and a September 6 piece on emerging markets economies.

Corsair [Darek Bell] was featured on the cover of this month’s Whisky Advocate. The distillery was also included in four articles within the publication: “10 Influential Craft Distillers to Watch,” “Craft Whiskey Moving On Up,” “Craft Nation” and “Craft Whiskey Stills.”

Darek’s other company, Bell & Associates Construction L.P., also recently won two ENR Southeast 2013 ‘Best Projects’ Awards: one for the Music City Center and the second for the Foothills Parkway Bridge. The Nashville Post’s Innovators issue featured Bernard Health [Alex Tolbert] as a company turning a corner of the health insurance market on its ear.

Alex Tolbert’s regular column in The Tennessean published Sunday. This week Alex discussed why avoiding high-priced hospitals can be tricky. Bernard Health was also mentioned in CNN’s recent article titled “8 most business-friendly cities.” Bernard Health was quoted commenting on Nashville’s sense of community and how that open community has helped the company. Centresource [Nicholas Holland] was featured in the Nashville Post’s branding section. Centresource was noted as a digital marketing firm that, with its flexible approach to connecting with customers, helps clients rise above and cut through the noise.

Martin Renkis [Smartvue] was featured in the Nashville Post’s recent patent section. Martin is one of two Nashville-based entrepreneurs to secure two patents or more.

Martin Renkis’ guest column appeared in the Nashville Business Journal Friday. His column was the second in a new partnership between EO Nashville and the Nashville Business Journal. In his column, Martin gave readers the top five patent tips for new inventors.

Congratulations to Smartvue, who won the prestigious Best of Show Maximum Impact Award today at the Electronic Security Expo (ESX) for its S9 Cloud Video Surveillance solutions. The ESX Maximum Impact Awards program is the first and only program to place a critical perspective on the impact that new and recently introduced products and services have on the security integration and monitoring businesses.

Amy Tanksley [Uncle Classic Barbershop] was also featured in Friday’s Nashville Business Journal. Since opening her first location in 2008, Amy has added two locations.

National Storm Shelters [Jeff Turner] was mentioned in a Tennessean story Sunday. National Storm Shelters was quoted saying they’ve seen an uptick in sales from home builders.

Executive Insight featured Dan Hogan’s [Medalogix] column about predictive analytics. According to the column, predictive modeling solutions can help providers deliver better care, improve their bottom line and adapt to reforms.

David Waddell’s [Waddell & Associates] weekly column for the Memphis Daily News published Wednesday. This week’s column was entitled “King Kong Versus Godzilla.”

NovaCopy [Darren Metz] was featured in The Tennessean yesterday. NovaCopy specializes in 3-D printing, which has a myriad of uses. Recently they produced the prototype for a mold that will be used to create a prosthetic foot for a duck.

CIO, Computer World and Network World featured Medalogix [Dan Hogan] as one of six practical predictive analytics tools.

Medalogix was also featured in this month’s BC Advantage Magazine. Dan’s column was titled “Predictive Modeling is a Necessary Starting Point for BPCI Participating Providers.”

Alex Tolbert [Bernard Health] wrote a blog post for Advance Web on fixing health care costs. Read his blog here. Alex’s regular column in The Tennessean also published Sunday. In this week’s column, Alex discussed the health care reform.

Fletcher Rowley [John Rowley] has been chosen as one of the ad agencies for AMC’s documentary/reality program The Pitch. Each episode features two ad agencies who pitch against each other for a national account. Advertising Age, The Tennessean  and the Nashville Business Journal reported the news.

The Nashville Ledger recently wrote a story about the Southern Living Idea House and spotlighted Castle Homes [Alan Looney], who built the home.

National Storm Shelters [Jeff Turner] was featured in a Nashville Post story last week that highlighted local artisan manufacturers gaining traction with a niche approach. WJLA TV also mentioned National Storm Shelters in a article about Oklahoma donations.

InQuicker [Michael Brody-Waite] recently announced that its online waiting service has helped patients avoid more than 3M total wait time minutes that would have been spent in the hospital or urgent care waiting room. mHiMMS reported the news.

In his recent column in the Memphis Daily News, David Waddell [Waddell & Associates] discussed when being safe can actually be unsafe.

David’s column also ran in the Nashville Ledger.
